Hi! I’m Liv

I was inspired to become a flautist after hearing one of my classmates play Fauré’s beautiful piece “Sicilienne” in an assembly when I was 10. From then on, music quickly became my biggest passion.

I have been a part of many ensembles and bands, such as being principal flute in the North Herts and Stevenage Youth Orchestra. I am also grateful to have had the opportunity to perform as a soloist as well; coming 2nd place in the Young Musicians Competition based in Hitchin in 2022. I was also a part of the Aldeburgh Young Musicians programme (AYM), a centre for advanced musical training based in Suffolk.

Currently, I study under Anna Pope and Abbie Burrows and am in my 4th year at Trinity Laban.

Hi! I’m Clara

I started playing the flute when I was 9 years old in the country I grew up in, Switzerland, after being introduced to the recorder in school.

I quickly got into a local orchestra: the “Orchestre Des Collèges Et Gymnases Lausannois”, under the direction of Luc Bagdhassarian, and played with them for six years. In 2016, I had the privilege of playing one of my own compositions with that orchestra. I took part in the Swiss Young Musicians’ competition (Concours Suisse de Musique pour la Jeunesse) several times and came 2nd place in 2018.

Growing up, I had a dream to go and study the flute in England, and after completing my A level music course with an A star, I was offered a place at Trinity Laban and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

I am currently in my 4th year at Trinity Laban, Greenwich.
